In the Spotlight

This month we decided to highlight not a person but a wonderful activity that gathers several ones and that’s worth that we devote an article to it: STEM.

Indeed, STEM s a popular acronym for four fields that share core similarities: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

STEM education is an interdisciplinary approach to learning where rigorous academic concepts are coupled with real world lessons as students apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in contexts that make connections between school, community, work, and the global enterprise.

STEM learning is highly sought after; it is the skillset to realize one’s dreams, solve problems and have fun.

Discover how SOLIDWORKS Apps for Kids uses STEM as a learning game to put the children’s dream into their grasp!

Tips and Tricks

Working with bodies

This month’s tip will help you with many projects created in Shape It. It highlights one of the core tools and the different ways in which you can use it.

The “Select Body” tool means that you do not select the faces/edges/points of a body but the body itself. From there you can use the different functions of the triad to manipulate the body into the position, size or shape you wish. Check out this quick tip.
