Great Ideas for Little Designers: New Champions on the Way
In Portugal, an exciting project is taking shape, aiming to foster creativity and mold future champions through SOLIDWORKS Apps for Kids. Leading the charge is João Catarino, a Mechanical Engineering graduate whose journey from traditional hand drawing to 3D design has been nothing short of inspiring.
João’s passion for SOLIDWORKS began in 2010, when he took his first SOLIDWORKS course, and he has never looked back since. He dedicated himself to certifications and, in 2023, achieved the highest exponent of this long mountain and obtained the SOLIDWORKS Expert, Certified Educator (TECE) certification and is currently the only champion in Portugal since 16.10.2020 (SW Champion).
However, his journey took an unexpected turn at the end of 2023 when he embraced a new challenge: teaching SOLIDWORKS Apps for Kids to children, sparked by his daughter ’MJ’s curiosity.
