SOLIDWORKS AFK Classroom – inspiring educators and enthusiasts at 3DEXPERIENCE World 2024
3DEXPERIENCE World is an annual event that brings together professionals, experts, and enthusiasts from various industries to explore the latest design, engineering, and technology innovations. This year, the event took place in Dallas, Texas. Alongside numerous breakout sessions and workshops to enrich our user community’s knowledge and skills, Michael Steeves and Elise Beraud delivered a presentation to an audience comprising educators and enthusiasts eager to instil a passion for design in future generations.
Their presentation, titled “Integrate STEAM Learning with SOLIDWORKS AFK Classroom,” occurred on Monday, February 12th. They began by outlining the various applications within SOLIDWORKS Apps for Kids, then delved into the features of the “Classroom” version tailored specifically for educators, offering straightforward and cost-free means to provide students with comprehensive 3D design experiences. The Classroom version includes 15 lesson plans, each equipped with 3D models, suggested topic introductions, and step-by-step instructions, making it an ideal tool for teachers seeking to introduce CAD design to their students.
