Retiring Capture It from the Apps for Kids Ecosystem

Dear Apps for Kids users and educators,

We wanted to let you know that we are retiring the Capture It app from the Apps for Kids ecosystem.
In light of this we are disabling the ability to create new Capture It projects from today, 01 March 2022.

As we update the platform to remove Capture It, we will also push new updates to the public site (which we are new calling “Creator”), the updates will improve the user interface and create a better experience for large and small devices. – You can see a sneak peak below… More to come on this soon!

Since the start of Apps for Kids, Capture has had limited public use and is now at a stage where we feel that it is time to shift the focus to concentrate more on the creation apps of Shape It, Style It, Mech It and Print It.

This decision and will allow us to improve our apps, experience and data integrity moving forward.

In the next week(s) we will be updating the website and apps to remove Capture It references and content.

Your assets will be available for you to download until 30 May 2022. You will be notified in App if you have created a Capture It project, from there you will be able to request access to your content and uploads.

We want to thank you for your interest in Capture It and look forward to your continued creativity with Apps for Kids.

Thanks,
The Apps for Kids team.
